Big Day

Zack turned 7 today!!! I can't  believe it was seven years ago that he came into our lives. He has been a blessing to us. He had so much fun opening his presents. His party is Saturday at the bowling alley.

On to a quilting stuff I am all caught up with RRCB mystery. Here's a picture of them. Not sure if the neutral blocks have enough but they are all white or beige backgrounds.

I also got my plaid D9P pinned and ready to start quilting. I hope to get most done before Christmas as this is the start of family quilts I want to make.

 Well that's it for now.

Combining two post into one

Sunday December 5th was our tree trimming night at church. Zack was in the play Christmas Puzzle. He was a shepherd, here he is getting ready.

He had so much fun singing up on stage.
not a good picture with my camera, I have better ones on the video camera.

second part of this post is that they started to put up the fake tree. But we decided to get this instead
they are making sure it was even. cute picture huh:)

 first ornament.
He is so happy to get a real tree. Said it looked so much better.

He loved this church ornament had to put it on before we even put up the lights.
Will post more when we get it done.

New Iron

Ok yesterday my iron went out, made it hard to iron my blocks so I can cut them to size.  Plus this morning Bonnie Hunter put out her step2 for the mystery Roll Roll Cotton Boll and I have to iron my fabric so I can cut that one out. So this morning we went to toys r us to check out prices for legos. Zack's wants them for Christmas which I am glad he doesn't see my blog so he would know what he is getting for Christmas. Then off to Walmart  to get this

So I can continue on these blocks. I am making a disappearing nine patch quilt. I am making two quilts at once this way I can get two finished quicker lol will try to anyways.  Here are  the blocks so far for both ways.
 bright batiks
plaids, thought this would make a good man's quilt.

I did a baby quilt top a couple of weeks ago, I was following  that girl quilt along
http://www.thatgirlthatquilt.com ( trying to figure out how to link to her blog). Well my quilt didn't
turn out that wonky but here it is, I liked how it turned out. Next time I will try and wonk the blocks better.

That's what I have been doing lately.

What I have been doing this last week.

Well I was sick last week so this week I had alot of stuff to do.
First I baked Halloween spooky brownies for Zack's class.

They turned out great. The kids loved them when we took them in this morning.
We also made healthy snacks yesterday and today. But I forgot to get pictures of them
bloody fingers(cheese sticks and almonds), eyes(carrot sticks, cream cheese and black olives) and teethe mouth(apples and almonds) got them  from Betty Crocker web site.

Zack's costume this year. I made it, he is a spider. lol He loves it.
At school waiting for the parade to start. I have more baking to do today and tomorrow for church Harvest Festival on Sunday.  Then I can get back to sewing.  I have been working on my hexies though.

Now just relaxing the rest of day, I am going to try and do some sewing.
